Here Apps For Windows Phone
Get Updates, 18 More Countries
With Navigation With Voice-
Guided

The Here suite of apps for Windows
Phone has been updated today. All of the
apps have new versions waiting to be
downloaded and installed, but perhaps
the biggest changes are brought to the
Here Drive+ app. It now supports voice-
guided navigation in 18 more countries
or territories.

These are Algeria, Angola, Bangladesh,
Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, Cyprus,
Iraq, Libya, Mauritania, Mauritius,
Nepal, Paraguay, Saint Helena, Senegal,
Sri Lanka, Suriname, Zambia, and
Zimbabwe. This brings the total number
of countries and territories in which
voice-guided directions are available to
118.

There’s a caveat, however. Not all of the
roads in Angola, Bangladesh, Nepal,
Senegal, Sri Lanka, Suriname, Zambia,
and Zimbabwe have been mapped yet.

Here Maps, Here Transit, and Here City
Lens for Windows Phone have received
some performance enhancements and
stability improvements too. Here Maps
for Windows 8.1 will soon be updated as
well. Here Transit and Here Drive+ have
now become free for those still using
Windows Phone 8.0, in addition to
persons using Windows Phone 8.1.
The new apps bring with them support
for the new Here account, which will
keep your Collections in sync across
Here-powered devices and Here.com.

The Here accounts will replace the Nokia
accounts, since those will soon be
discontinued. Don’t worry, though, for
you can move your Collections from
your Nokia
account to a new Here account.
